Authorities say that the delivery man was shot in the neck during the attempt. Construction worker injured in Corsicana incident

Walmart worker dies from injuries sustained while trying to stop shoplifter

A Walmart employee has died of injuries he sustained when he attempted to stop a shoplifter. Lancaster police officer killed in line of duty

A Lancaster police officer was killed in the line of duty this weekend. Officer Craig Shaw, a five-year veteran of the Lancaster police force, was shot and killed after he was called to the scene of an apartment complex in the 900 block of River Bend Drive near West Pleasant Run Road in southern Dallas county. The shooter, David Brown, Jr., had previously shot and killed a man before Officer Shaw arrived. Officer Shaw attempted to keep Brown from fleeing the scene when Brown opened fire on him. Other police soon joined in the struggle. Officer Shaw and Brown were both killed in the conflict.

Firefighter hurt in Grapevine trailer park fire

Teachers and students sickened by gas leak at school

Two teachers and five students were sickened by a natural gas leak at Crowley Ninth Grade Campus.
