25 gas plant workers hospitalized

Twenty five gas plant workers were sent to the hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning after the plant they were working at suffered a leak, while 20 others were treated at the scene. The incident occurred in Freeport, New York, at the LaMar Plastic Packaging Company. Indoor readings of carbon monoxide reached dangerous levels. Workers complained of dizziness, headaches and nausea. Texas has many plants inside its boundaries where similar accidents have or could occur.
