Apartment Fire Injures Resident, Raises Questions

A three-alarm fire engulfed eight apartment units in Grapevine earlier this week, injuring one resident when he was forced to escape the blaze. While the cause of the fire remains uncertain, what is certain is that this accident raises questions about just how safe the apartment complex really was – and whether the landlord or management company appropriately guarded against the risk of fire.

Personal injuries happen every day and in a variety of ways, but one of the most tragic is when they happen in the home. Although a state laws and municipal ordinances are supposed to keep tenants safe, these rules are only effective when landlords comply with them. Throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth, a significant number of apartments do not comply with these regulations and, as a result, needlessly put residents at risk of injury.
