An on-duty Dallas police officer, in uniform and driving in a marked police car, was injured Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident. The accident occurred on C.F. Hawn Freeway, also known as State Highway 175. The officer, Samantha Matje, was traveling westbound when her car was sideswiped, which caused her to collide with a third vehicle. Office Matje was taken to Baylor Medical Center and is in fair condition. Investigators are seeking the driver of the first car, which should have heavy front-end damage.
