A veteran Fort Worth police officer was injured this week when a suspect hit him with a car. A fugitive was behind the wheel of a Ford Taurus when he struck a surveillance vehicle, a marked patrol car and finally the officer while running from police. The man was wanted for two outstanding arrest warrants. The Taurus hit two other vehicles before arriving at an apartment complex where the fugitive lived. Police apprehended the man after he tried to escape again by jumping through a window. The officer who was struck was injured but is expected to make a full recovery.
