A cab driver was assaulted during an attempted robbery in east Dallas. Authorities say that the driver picked up a passenger around 3 a.m. A short time later, the passenger assaulted the cab driver and attempted to rob him. The driver fought back and shot the passenger on Moser Avenue. No word yet on the driver's injuries.
