Fort Worth Victim of Police Brutality Settles Case for $400,000

Chad Gibson, a patron at Fort Worth’s Rainbow Lounge on a fateful night in June 2009, sustained a head injury when agents of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) and the Fort Worth Police Department allowed a bar inspection to turn violent. Mr. Gibson, among other patrons, was severely assaulted. After extensive negotiations, representatives for the City of Fort Worth and Mr. Gibson have reached an agreement to settle the matter, providing Mr. Gibson with $400,000 in compensation.
