Poor Road Causes Drivers to Drive Car into Lake

Dallas’s Lake Ray Hubbard was the site of a costly – and nearly fatal – automobile accident this weekend. On Saturday, a driver, Ngac Do, and her passenger drove onto a boat ramp, thinking it was an onramp, and directly into Lake Ray Hubbard. Both driver and passenger were trapped inside as the waters rose around their car, only escaping when a Rockwall Deputy Sherriff saved them.

Automobile accidents happen at times – and in ways – that you least expect. And sometimes the party responsible for the accident isn’t even a participant in the accident at all. Sometimes it’s the negligent driver who causes the accident but escapes any damage. Other times, such as Saturday’s late night crash, it’s an institution, like the City of Dallas, the entity that owns and operates the negligently designed and unnecessarily dangerous roadway that leads directly into the lake.

When these kinds of “ghost causes” are responsible for your accident, it can be hard to know how to move forward. Thankfully, the attorneys at Fears | Nachawati are prepared for the situation you’re handling. With years of experience and courtroom tested expertise, we’re ready to help you. Just give us a call! Drunk Driver Goes Wrong Way Down North Texas Tollway

Despite warning signs recently posted by the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), Ronald Nelson of the Woodlands sped down the Tollway during the early morning hours Thursday. The only problem: Nelson was going northbound in the southbound lanes.

Admittedly, being an out-of-town driver didn’t help Mr. Nelson, but driving intoxicated was the real reason that Nelson got turned around. Tragically, Mr. Nelson is far from the only driver who has gotten drunk and travelled at high speed down the wrong lane of the Tollway. Hundreds of Dallas drivers are injured every years as a result of wrong-way drivers on major Dallas roads like US-75, the Tollway, I-635, and, of course, I-35.

Have you been hurt as a result of a wrong way driver? You’re not alone. And you don’t have to fight back by yourself. The attorneys at the Dallas law firm of Fears | Nachawati specialize in accidents just like yours. We know the law and can present your facts in the most favorable light. Talk to our experts today! Speed, Alcohol Cause Fatal Accident

This week investigators from the Irving Police Department (IPD) concluded an investigation of the Porsche accident from earlier this month. The IPD report confirmed earlier suspicions that alcohol and high speed contributed to the accident.

Alcohol and excessive speed frequently contribute significantly to violent, injurious, and fatal accidents, such as the one involving a Porsche earlier this month. In some cases, the mere presence of alcohol and high speeds constitute per se negligence. Factors such as these radically alter the legal interests and probable recovery of accident victims.

Did speed or alcohol contribute to an accident you’ve been involved in recently? It may be time to talk to the automobile accident experts at Fears | Nachawati. With years of experience and dedicated expertise, we’re able to fight – and win – for accident victims just like you. Dallas Police Officer Kills Pedestrian

Beverly Kirk, a loving mother and grandmother, died this weekend when a Dallas police squad car failed to yield to her as she walked across the street. Although the police officer was travelling at a high rate of speed, there were two important things he wasn’t doing: flashing his lights or blaring his siren. As a result, Ms. Kirk was caught off-guard, trapped in the crosswalk, and struck unexpectedly.

Pedestrians have a right to the road. Unfortunately, even the people who should protect this right – D/FW’s police officers – often disregard it and endanger the rights of walkers, bystanders, and pedestrians. It’s not right; and it’s not permitted under the law.

Have you been injured in an automobile accident, either as a pedestrian or as a motorist? You should talk to the experts immediately. The attorneys at Fears | Nachawati know how to protect your rights and provide for your financial interests. UT Southwestern Fire Puts Workers Health at Risk

You probably don’t think very often about the possibility of fire at your workplace. And in all likelihood, neither did the hundred-or-so University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center employees who fled their brand new, state-of-the-art medical facility today when a fire broke out near the top floor. Fortunately for workers across D/FW, the risk of fire-related accidents and injuries is the kind of contingency we consider on a regular basis.

The attorneys at the Dallas law firm Fears | Nachawati often think about the kind of not uncommon problems that most people would rather ignore. We ask questions like, “What happens if you’re in a car accident?” and “Will most insurance policies cover you if your passenger is injured in your car wreck?” As we see it, our job is to make sure that your legal interests are protected in the event that what you’d rather not consider happens. As a result, we’re prepared to deal with all kinds of contingencies – including what to do if you’re injured when your brand new office building catches on fire.

Have you been unexpectedly injured? Talk to us! For your free consultation, call us at 1.866.322.6898 or email us at http://www.fnlawfirm.com/contact.cfm.

Teen Pedestrian Struck by Car

A high school senior at Fort Worth’s Central High was struck by a passing car yesterday morning, sending him to John Peter Smith Hospital via CareFlite. Neither his condition nor his identity have been released by officials, prompting some safety experts to worry that the situation may be serious.

While it’s true that most automobile accidents occur when one car collides with another, pedestrian related accidents are on the rise as an increasing number of motorists live in more densely populated cities and towns. These accidents are serious and all too frequently, pedestrian victims and their families don’t fight for their rights!

Fears | Nachawati defends automobile accident victims, protecting their rights, ensuring they receive medical care, and fighting for their financial compensation. If you’ve been injured in an automobile accident, whether as a pedestrian or driver, you should give us a call. We can help!
