Concussion Summit in Dallas Raises Important Legal Issues

The University of Texas at Arlington will host a conference this weekend devoted to one of the most important health issues for teenage boys in Texas: concussions. With another football season less than six months away and growing discussion about the long-term effects of concussions, the conference is scheduled to highlight a number of findings related specifically to North Texas teens, including whether some young men are more susceptible to concussions than others.

Did your child suffer concussions during their high school athletic careers? Did their coaches and school administrators take the appropriate precautions to reduce the risk of injury and ensure that your child was medically ready to return to the field of play?

The questions are important to ask, particularly if your son has experienced specific post-traumatic symptoms. Your child had a right to safety. Tragically, many are learning that right may have been violated. They also want to know about their legal options.
