New Statistics Reveal Extent of Road Rage Accidents

Recently published statistically findings from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reveal what many automobile accident observers have been suggesting: road rage accidents account for a large and growing number of traffic incidents. In Houston alone, more than 900 accidents and five deaths were caused by road rage in the last five years.

The statistics are no different for Texas's other major cities. According to TxDOT, the counties with the highest number of road rage accidents were Bexar, Harris, Tarrant, Dallas, and Travis. And to add insult to personal injury, these are often frightening accidents. The majority of drivers who commit road rage accidents are young men between the ages of 16 and 29. Many exit their cars after an accident angry and, potentially, looking to commit further acts of violent. For many accident victims, such an after-accident altercation can be just as frightening as the accident itself.

Are you the victim of a road rage accident? If the answer is yes, the time to act is now, and the people to call are the attorneys at Fears | Nachawati. Multicar Accident Kills One, Injures Ten

Although violent automobile accidents are tragically common in major cities in Dallas and Tarrant County, they occur less frequently in rural areas of North Texas. Of course, that’s not to say that they don’t happen at all, as last weekend’s accident near Kaufman, Texas, attests.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, multiple cars were involved in an accident on an otherwise quiet, backcountry road, State Highway 243. In a matter of moments, the little travelled road became the site of a flipped truck, a head-on collision, and a pair of heavily damaged SUVs. Moreover, only a few minutes after the accident the roadway also became of a landing zone for care flight helicopters landing and picking up victims so that they could carry them to nearby hospital emergency rooms.

If you’re loved one is in an automobile accident in one of North Texas’s rural counties, you need the help of an attorney capable of handling all of the challenges that a destructive accident produces. With years of experience covering accidents across North Texas, the dedicated professionals at the law firm of Fears Nachawati is prepared to help you. Plano Man Killed Outside of Houston

A Plano man died last weekend in a fiery wreck in the Montgomery County town of Conroe, outside of Houston. Although his passengers, a woman and two children fortunately survived, the driver died when the vehicle became engulfed in flames.

The difficult reality of many automobile accidents is that they often happen where you least expect them. For instance, despite living and driving in Plano, Dallas, and Fort Worth, the man who died near Houston experienced his untimely demise hundreds of miles from home.

If you’re involved in an accident in a Texas town far from home, it’s nice to have legal representatives who have nearby offices and who know how to protect your rights in a distant county. Fortunately, that’s exactly what you’ll find with the professionals at Fears | Nachawati. Violent Hailstorm Slams Dallas Homes, Gives Rise to Potential Legal Claims

Austin Accident a Warning for Dallas Drivers

Motorcyclists from across Texas and around the country descended on Austin’s famed 6th Street last weekend to celebrate the Republic of Texas (ROT) Rally. Tragically, however, what was supposed to be a celebration of motorcycle riding was fatal for three motorcycle drivers in three separate Austin-area accidents.

Unfortunately, fatal motorcycle accidents are simply all too common. Reckless driving on the part of cyclists and motorists as well as the immutable danger associated with riding a motorcycle frequently result in serious injuries and fatalities.

Do you need help sorting through the aftermath of your accident – or that of your loved one? Talk to the personal injury and wrongful death attorneys at Fears | Nachawati to find out how we might be able to help you. Apartment Fire Injures Resident, Raises Questions

A three-alarm fire engulfed eight apartment units in Grapevine earlier this week, injuring one resident when he was forced to escape the blaze. While the cause of the fire remains uncertain, what is certain is that this accident raises questions about just how safe the apartment complex really was – and whether the landlord or management company appropriately guarded against the risk of fire.

Personal injuries happen every day and in a variety of ways, but one of the most tragic is when they happen in the home. Although a state laws and municipal ordinances are supposed to keep tenants safe, these rules are only effective when landlords comply with them. Throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth, a significant number of apartments do not comply with these regulations and, as a result, needlessly put residents at risk of injury.

Have you been injured as a result of obvious or hidden risks in your apartment? If so, you may be entitled to recover against the owner of the property who is responsible for keeping the premises safe. Find out about their liability and your potential claims by talking to the attorneys and professionals at Fears | Nachawati today.
