How Dangerous Is Trimming a Tree?

For one North Texan, trimming a tree wasn’t just dangerous, but fatal. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, a Fort Worth worker died this week when his tree trimming equipment came in contact with a power line. In a moment, the man was electrocuted, causing his near immediate death.

Household chores such as trimming a tree, mowing the lawn, and cleaning the gutter can be more dangerous than many homeowners realize. In fact, every year dozens of North Texas residents are injured or even killed when their domestic project goes wrong.

Have you or a loved one been injured while cleaning up around your home? Sometimes these accidents are caused by sheer bad luck. However, in many instances, poorly designed products or the negligence of others is partially or even fully responsible for property damage or personal injury. Who is responsible in your case? Speeding Car Kills One, Injures Three High School Students

A tree near Highway 360 in Grand Prairie, a speeding car, and an out-of-control driver caused the death of one Timberview High School student and injured three more this weekend. The accident involved yet another SUV – this time a Lexus RX300 – that threw a passenger out of the car. Tragically, all of the people involved in the accident were under the age of 18.

Young, inexperienced drivers cause a disproportionate number of car accidents in North Texans. What’s more, these accidents are often the unnecessary result of negligent behavior such as a texting-while-driving and speeding.

Has your child been injured because of a reckless high school driver? Even if your son or daughter consented to being the car, that doesn’t necessarily mean that he or she consented to excessive speeds or reckless conduct. Are you ready to find out about your family members’ rights under the law? Talk to the experienced attorneys at Fears | Nachawati today.
