Elevated Highway Elevates Fears, Risk

A Fort Worth accident today underscores just how unique – and dangerous – urban interstates can be. After losing control of his truck, the driver’s truck crashed through a guardrail on Interstate 20, flipped off the highway and landed in a tree near Loop 820 and I-20. Incredibly, the man only sustained cuts and bruises and was promptly rescued.

Elevated highways impose elevated risks on drivers. Although off-the-highway accidents like today’s don’t happen frequently, when they do the effect is often serious – or fatal. Moreover, the presence of elevated highways and the accidents they make worse also raise an important legal question: is the reckless driver responsible for not only the accident, but also the effects of the accident, such as falling off the highway?

Were You Injured by a Dallas Motorcyclist?

Last year, more than 100 motorcycle riders unexpectedly shut down Central Expressway, one of Dallas’s main thoroughfares. After blocking traffic, they spray painted graffiti on public roadways and engaged in a number of dangerous driving tricks.

This year, Dallas police were on guard at several locations, protecting major city highways against the possibility of a recurrence of last year’s Memorial Day mishaps. Of course, that doesn’t mean that they didn’t happen on a smaller scale.

As last year’s Memorial Day disruptions demonstrate, Dallas’s motorcyclists have a reputation for risky, dangerous, rule-breaking behavior. You may be familiar with their reckless driving. In fact, you may have even suffered as a result. If you’ve sustained property damage or personal injury because of a Dallas motorcycle rider, you should contact the professionals at Fears | Nachawati.

The issues involved in motorcycle accident litigation are often unique. Fortunately for your, our committed attorneys and dedicated experts know how to handle these complexities. How Dangerous Is Trimming a Tree?

For one North Texan, trimming a tree wasn’t just dangerous, but fatal. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, a Fort Worth worker died this week when his tree trimming equipment came in contact with a power line. In a moment, the man was electrocuted, causing his near immediate death.

Household chores such as trimming a tree, mowing the lawn, and cleaning the gutter can be more dangerous than many homeowners realize. In fact, every year dozens of North Texas residents are injured or even killed when their domestic project goes wrong.

Have you or a loved one been injured while cleaning up around your home? Sometimes these accidents are caused by sheer bad luck. However, in many instances, poorly designed products or the negligence of others is partially or even fully responsible for property damage or personal injury. Who is responsible in your case? Fears | Nachawati can help you determine the answer. For your free consultation, call us at 1.866.322.6898 or email us at http://www.fnlawfirm.com/contact.cfm

Tampon Manufacturer Confirms Moldy Health Product

Major manufacturer Kimberly-Clark confirmed this week that a Dallas-area’s woman tampon did have mold on it, as she suspected. Dallas Woman Encounters Dangerous, Defective Health Device

For one Dallas woman, buying a tampon was anything but an ordinary experience. After returning home from the store, she noticed a discoloration on her Kotex tampons. She ultimately learned that the black spots on her tampons were more than mere discoloration. They were mold spores. What’s more, had she used it, this Kimberly Clark medical product could have caused serious medical problems for the woman.

Have you noticed strange aberrations in the household products you purchase, such as mold spores on your tampons, extremely hot coffee from your coffee pot, or bugs in places where bugs usually aren’t present? Defect household products are more common than you think, especially in a year in which many American manufacturers are struggling with a down economy and intense global competition. For some, the results are cut corners – and defective products!

If you’ve been injured as a result of your everyday household goods, you should contact the legal professionals at Fears | Nachawati immediately.
