Tanker driver injured in firey 1-30 wreck
The driver of a fuel truck was injured in a firey crash on I-30 west of Fort Worth today. The fuel truck was traveling eastbound when another truck veered into it, forcing the fuel truck into the median. Investigators believe that the trucks collided when the other truck was attempting to avoid a collision with a car that was veering towards it. The driver of the fuel truck and three other people were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

One killed when 18-wheelers collide

Parker County sergeant dies after wreck
A Parker County Sherriff's Office sergeant has died as a result of injuries sustained in a wreck in Springtown. Authorities say that the sergeant was stopped at a red light on Texas 199 when he was hit from behind by a vehicle traveling 50 to 60 miles per hour. The sergeant's car was pushed into the vehicle in front of him. He survived the immediate accident but died several days later as a result of his injuries.

XTO gas leak threatens early morning workers
A vapor cloud was emitted from a north Fort Worth gas well site operated by XTO Energy early Monday morning. The cloud originated from a pressurized pipe that was leaking natural gas. No private residences were threatened by the leak, but authorities were in the process of evacuating workers from numerous local businesses when the leak was finally contained. Some of the workers suffered ill effects of gas inhalation, including respiratory problems, and went to area hospitals for treatment.

Maintenance man shot at work
A maintenance man was tragically shot and killed while at work in an apartment complex in far north Dallas. The accident occurred in the early morning hours at the complex in the 13500 block of Kit Lane. The man, Miguel Angel Montanez, was taken to Baylor Medical Center at Dallas where he later died. Tractor-trailer driver injured in I-30 crash
A tractor trailer driver was injured in a wreck on westbound I-30 in Dallas today. The accident occurred when a pickup truck left the westbound service road, crashed through a guard rail and then ran into the tractor trailer on the main lanes of the highway. Delivery driver hurt in massive pileup in Arlington
Ten people, including a delivery truck driver, were injured in a massive 32 car pileup in Arlington today. Authorities say that the incident began when a car was rear-ended when it attempted to exit Highway 360. The impact of the crash caused the car to spin into traffic. A total of 32 cars were involved in the massive pileup which sent 10 people to area hospitals for treatment. At least one of the crash victims was on the job at the time the incident occurred. He was working as a delivery driver for a local company.

Firefighter hurt in Dallas blaze
A firefighter was injured when battling a blaze at an apartment complex in far north Dallas Friday morning. The fire occurred at the Frankford Springs apartment complex in the 3700 block of Frankford Road. The fire started when one resident was attempting to start a fire in the chimney of their apartment. A spark apparently escaped up the chimney flue, got into the attic. From that point the fire spread quickly. No residents were injured, but one firefighter suffered a head injury and was taken to Parkland Hospital for treatment.

Hotel worker injured by car downtown Dallas
A downtown Dallas hotel worker was injured as she was walking to work early Wednesday morning. Investigators report that the woman was working in the hotel's parking lot in the pre-dawn hours when a car struck her. The driver of a tractor-trailer rig that was injured when the vehicle he was driving was involved in a serious Johnson County crash. Authorities report that the big rig was backing into a private drive when it was struck by a pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed. Manager injured in assisted living center fire
The manager of an assisted living center in Dallas was injured in a recent fire. The fire broke out in the third-story apartment of one of the center's residents. Highway crew member injured on I-30
A member of a roadcrew working on construction along I-30 near downtown Dallas was recently injured on the job. Investigators have discovered that the worker, whose name has not been released, was working behind a protected area on the side of the road when a commercial truck passed by at a high rate of speed causing debris to fly in the air. Several patrons and employees were injured Sunday when a car struck a restaurant. The incident occurred at Carino's Italian restaurant in the 5900 block of S. Hulen Street in Fort Worth. The driver of the car, a patron on his way to dine at the restaurant, apparently suffered a heart attack, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The driver later died at an area hospital. Cab driver assaulted in attempted robbery

One injured in Arlington bank robbery
One person was injured in an Arlington bank robbery today. Authorities say that the suspect broke into Security One Federal Credit Union in the 200 block of Hollandale Circle. The suspect set off the bank's alarm and was caught inside the building without a struggle. One bank employee was injured by broken glass during the incident.
