Fort Worth police officer critically injured during pursuit

A Fort Worth police officer was critically injured Thursday afternoon when his car crashed into a tree during a high-speed pursuit on I-30. The officer was chasing a motorcyclist who fled from a house in Mansfield where authorities suspected methamphetamine was being manufactured. The officer was alone in his car when the crash occurred. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with life threatening injuries.
