Three Die in Arlington Collision

A car crowded with five young people became a scene of horror and tragedy this morning when the driver lost control and slammed into a tree. Although it remains unclear how fast the car was travelling or whether alcohol was involved, the remains of the car speak volumes: the vehicle was split in half by the force of the impact. Two brothers, the driver and a front seat passenger, were killed immediately. A woman in the back seat died at the hospital shortly after the accident. Two more young men were rushed to the hospital. All of the people in the car were less than 21 years old.

Accidents involving young drivers happen significantly more frequently than older drivers. Factors such as youth, inexperience, distractions, high speeds, and alcohol combine to make for extremely dangerous conditions.
