Christmas Lights Lead to Tragic Death

A Grand Prairie businessman died last weekend in the midst of celebrating the holiday season. Focused on stringing Christmas lights on a local business, the man lost sight of how close his metal ladder was coming to a line of Christmas lights suspended above him. Moments later, he moved the ladder into the string of lights, connecting a circuit that included himself, his ladder, the Christmas lights, and thousands of watts of electricity. Medical personnel took the electrocuted man to Arlington Memorial Hospital, but it was too late. The man was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Be careful this holiday season! Although the holidays are often full of friends and fellowship, they are so also rife with hidden dangers. Slick roadways, cold weather and Christmas lights are just a few of the many risks that cause thousands of injuries every year. Protect yourself from injury!
