Highway crew member injured on I-30

A member of a roadcrew working on construction along I-30 near downtown Dallas was recently injured on the job. Investigators have discovered that the worker, whose name has not been released, was working behind a protected area on the side of the road when a commercial truck passed by at a high rate of speed causing debris to fly in the air. Debris flew in the worker's face, causing contusions to his face and neck and possibly injuring his eyes. The worker was taken to an area hospital for treatment by his co-workers.
