The manager of an assisted living center in Dallas was injured in a recent fire. The fire broke out in the third-story apartment of one of the center's residents. The manager was working with others to clear the building when he encountered the unit where the fire was blazing. After opening the door and crawling into the unit, the manager was able to help the man in the unit, a double leg amputee, into his wheelchair and to safety. The manager suffered smoke inhalation and minor burns, but is expected to make a full recovery.
